StoryLab Academy invites African Journalist to its new platform full of free lessons which can help them speed up their news gathering process, improve fact-checking and teach them how to produce graphics plus more.
StoryLab Academy is a partnership between Code for Africa, Google News Lab and the World Bank. Many of the lessons are drawn from existing courses developed by Google News Lab and the World Bank but customised for journalists operating across Africa with local content and techniques specific to the particular challenges they face.
Our audiences are changing, and expect modern storytelling in digital formats. We must learn to tell their stories in formats that work on computer monitors and on phones, and develop the skills to interrogate online information and sources of data honestly and with integrity.
That’s why Code for Africa, in partnership with Google News Lab and The World Bank, has created the StoryLab Academy.
