Singer Waje has revealed how she was kicked out of the church choir after her pastor discovered she was pregnant while writing the West African Senior School Certificate Examinations (WASSCE).
The singer whose real name is Aituaje Iruobe, shared her experience in a recent Instagram Live chat with gospel musician, Bouqui.
According to Waje, she got into a relationship in SS3 and the relationship went from ‘puppy love’ to sexual. She said at that time, she felt she loved her ''boyfriend'' and sex was the only way she could express her love.
She eventually got pregnant and was summoned by the pastor and other ministers. She admitted to being pregnant on interrogation, and was to be in church every Wednesday and Sunday but would no longer be allowed to sing in the church choir.
Waje also stated that her mother didn’t know she was pregnant until she was five months gone. She wrote the WASSCE while pregnant and nobody knew.
