FG declares Wednesday public holiday to mark Democracy Day

The federal government has approved Wednesday, May 29, 2013 as public holiday to celebrate the 2013 Democracy Day.

According to a statement signed by the permanent secretary, Mrs AM Daniel-Nwaobia on behalf of the

Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro urged all Nigerians to deepen their participation in democratic governance so as to pass on the baton of credible and good governance to upcoming generations.
He congratulated Nigerians on the attainment of yet another successful year of the transformation agenda of Mr. President, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan and called on them to support Mr. President to deepen democratic governance in Nigeria.
