FCT, Abuja - The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released an additional 531 results of the recently conducted Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations (UTME)

The Public Communication Advisor of the Board, Dr Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday, May 7.

Legit.ng recalls that JAMB released the first batch of 2024 UTME results on Tuesday, April 29.

Benjamin said JAMB had proceeded with the screening of over 64,000 withheld results due to cases of examination misconduct, The Nation reports.

The additional release of results has taken the total number of UTME results released to 1,842,897.

"It has, however, released additional 531 results taking the total number of results released to 1,842,897.
“In the course of the exercise, other cases of examination misconduct were also established to make a tally of 92 from the 81 initially discovered.“

As reported by Vanguard, he said JAMB is also looking at cases of unverified candidates and would soon come up with a position.

Legit.ng recalls that JAMB said UTME results under investigation will be released when the probe is over.

The examination body stated this via a tweet quote on Monday, May 6.

JAMB stated that the results of over 64,000 candidates are under scrutiny for verification, procedural investigation of candidates, centre-based investigation and alleged examination misconduct.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq commended students of Eucharistic Heart of Jesus Model College for their remarkable performance in the 2024 UTME.

Abdulrazaq visited the school to appreciate the 35 students who scored between 300 and 355 in the just concluded 2024 UTME.

He said their success in the 2024 UTME sums up the emergence of Kwara on the national stage as a go-to state for quality education
