The management of Abia State College of Education (ASCETA) has approved the official JAMB cut off mark 2024/2025 academic session for all courses offered in the institution as requested by JAMB.
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) directed that all Colleges of Education in Nigeria fix their cut off marks at 100 as mandated by JAMB, this is to bring about uniformity in the admission process though most Rectors ignored the call and still maintained status-quo
Abia State College of Education (ASCETA) also obeyed the call and therefore pegged their cut off mark at 120 as directed by JAMB. Therefore all candidates who selected Abia State College of Education (ASCETA) as their preferred choice of higher institution during the UTME registration can confirm if they meet the current cut-off mark for the institution.
Prospective candidates who meet the cut off mark would then proceed for post UTME and internal screening exercise at Abia State College of Education, and are thereby are advised to carry all supporting documents along including recent coloured passport photographs.

Requirements for Post UTME Internal screening at ASCETA;
A) In order to be eligible for admission at Abia State College of Education (ASCETA), candidates must score up to the minimum cut off mark for the current academic session as fixed by JAMB (Joint Admission and Matriculation Board)
B) Candidates applying for admission into ASCETA must have a minimum of five (5) credits in Mathematics and English and other relevant subjects as it relates to his or her course of study in not more than two (2) sittings to be eligible to sit for their post UTME screening aptitude test
C) The management of Abia State College of Education (ASCETA) would also request for your original documents which includes ‘O’ level certificate, please note that awaiting results are accepted by ASCETA so long as results would be made available upon request during the screening exercise.
D) Original copy of your birth certificate or birth declaration
E) Candidates are also to carry along with them recent passport photographs (Coloured)
