UNILORIN Remedial APPLICATION FORM FEE
The cost of UNILORIN remedial form is N15, 000.00 (Fifteen Thousand Naira Only) this is excluding the N150.00 bank charge and Remita charges as without paying for the form, registration cannot be carried out online.
STEP 1: Account Creation and Payment
You would be required to create an account first and to do so, click on Remedial Application Form (STEP 1) link to create an account and make payment and you will receive a text alert which would include your login details (Login ID and Password) that will be used to login on the portal at any given time and you are advised to change your password by clicking on the Change Password link on the Top Menu after you have logged in with your old password.
STEP 2: Complete Biodata
At this stage, you will be required to Click on Complete your Biodata (STEP 2) link located at the left-hand side of your device to complete your biodata. The biodata contains all information about you so you must make sure you fill in the correct details.
In this process, scanned copy of your passport and signature will be required for the completion of this form. The approved passport size and signature must be at least 20KB and 15KB respectively and must be saved in JPG format.
STEP 3: Remedial Choice of Course
Click on Choice of Course (STEP 3) link located at the left-hand side to complete your remedial choice of course form. That is, First Choice Faculty,First Choice Course, Second Choice Faculty,Second Choice Course,Third Choice Faculty and Third Choice Course. the choice is yours but make sure you have the right subject combination for your selected course. Check out the list of JAMB approved courses and their subject combinations to be double sure during your selection.
STEP 4: O’Level Results
Upload your O’Level result. To do this, just click on Register your O’Level Results (STEP 4) link located at the left-hand side to submit your O’Level results, also note that submission of wrong results would lead to automatic disqualification.
FINAL STEP: Submission Section
To confirm completion of your registration, kindly click the box to enable you submit your application then click on the Submit button to complete your Remedial Application Form and then Click link located at the left-hand side to print the remedial application form.
Upon completion of the above steps you click on Remedial Application Form and Citizenship Form links to print out the later and former and you are done with the UNILORIN remedial online application form.
UNILORIN remedial programme Admission Requirements
To apply for UNILORIN remedial programme for this academic session, you must meet the admission requirements for art or science courses as the case may be. We have provided the admission requirements for Art and Science related courses or programmes offered in the UNILORIN remedial programme.
Requirements for Arts and Arts Education:
a) Applicants must obtain a minimum of five (5) O’level subjects at Credit level at not more than two sittings in the SSCE/GCE organized by WAEC, NECO or NABTEB which must include English Language and Mathematics.
b) Note that Two (2) of the five (5) compulsory subjects must be from Arts while the other three subjects may be from the Social Sciences.
Note: There is no preliminary programme in B.A. (Hons.) English
Requirements for Agriculture, Engineering and Technology, Environmental Sciences, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences and Science Education, Technology Education and Educational Technology:
a) Applicants must obtain a minimum of five (5) O’level subjects at Credit level at not more than two sittings in the SSCE/GCE organized by WAEC, NECO or NABTEB. The compulsory subjects are English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics.
Specific Requirements:
Faculty of Agriculture will accept Credit grade in Agricultural science in lieu of Credit grade in Biology.
Duration of Programme of UNILORIN Remedial Programme
The University of Ilorin remedial programme is for a period of two semesters (one academic session) which is equivalent to 1 year after which successful candidates will automatically gain admission into 100 Level at the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN)
Who Is Eligible To Apply?
The preliminary programme is primarily opened to applicants from the Catchment States of the University of Ilorin, (i.e. Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nassarawa, Niger, Plateau, Sokoto and Zamfara States.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
i) Candidates who want to study Engineering must obtain Credit grades in Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics and sit for Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics at the 2017/2018 JAMB/UTME.
ii) Candidates MUST write the 2017/2018 JAMB/UTME with relevant subject combination to any programme in either Arts or Sciences and MUST obtain the minimum UTME approved cut off point by the University.
iii) Consideration for admission into programmes and quota for each programme is strictly based on merit.
iv) Applicants are to note that the programme is residential therefore hostels are available for successful candidates.
