UMYU New Vice Chancellor Emerges

Professor Idris Isa Funtua has emerged the new Vice Chancellor of Umaru Musa Yar’Adua University, UMYU, in Katsina State.

This was contained in na statement issued to newsmen by the Senior Special Adviser on Press Affairs to the state governor, Lawal Matazu.

The appointment of Funtua was approved by Governor Ibrahim Shema.

According to the statement, the appointment was for a period of five years, and that the appointment takes immediate effect.

The new vice chancellor replaces professor Mu’uta Ibrahim whose tenure expired recently.
