UMYU Registration Procedure For Fresh Students (UTME & DE) 2024/2025 Session - How To Register

The management of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University has announced that the registration for fresh students (UTME and DE candidates) who recently gained admission in the 2024/2025 academic session will be starting on September 7, 2024. The management hereby is using this medium to inform all new students to commence the central registration process.

Undergraduate Registration Guidelines

General Instructions: Please carefully review the following registration steps before initiating your online registration.

STAGE 1: Procedure for Admission Letter Printing

(For New Undergraduate Students Only)

Step 1 – Visit the university’s official website at https://umyu.edu.ng/, and click on “Payment of Acceptance Fee” and “Printing of Admission Letter” in the left navigation menu on the university’s homepage.

Step 2 – The link will redirect you to the portal. Log in using your JAMB number and the password you used for your Post UTME login.

Step 3 – To make the payment for the Acceptance Fee, please click [Here](link to payment page).

  • The Acceptance Fee is N5,000 for indigenes and N10,000 for Non-Indigenes. Note that there is an additional N300 processing fee for bank charges and N50 for stamp duty.

Payment can be made through either of the following methods:

Step 4 – Bank Branch (For this option, print the transaction ID and take it to a Bank Branch to make the payment).

Step 5 – Pay Now (For this option, use your ATM card to make the payment online).

Step 6 – After successfully making the payment, you will be redirected to a link to print your admission letter.

Step 7 – On the left side menu, click on “Print Other Forms” to access and print other associated documents required for registration.

Step 8 – After printing the admission letter and other forms, click on ‘Log on to portal’ to be redirected to the student portal for further registration.

STAGE 2: Registration and Payment Procedure

(For New Undergraduate Students Only)

Step 1 – Once redirected to the student portal, please verify your level and update your personal profile by completing all the necessary fields.

Step 2 – Ensure that you upload your passport photograph and signature in JPEG format, with each file not exceeding 100kb in size. Also, provide accurate details for your email address, home address, and phone number.

Step 3 – At this stage, proceed to make the payment using the Interswitch Platform provided. You can choose either of the following Payment Options:

Step 4 – Bank Branch (For this option, print the transaction ID and take it to a bank branch for payment).

Step 5 – Pay Now (For this option, use your ATM card to make the payment online).

For payment support, you can select the “Payment Support” link under the “Payment Manager” Menu on your Portal, and then click “Requery” against the transaction ID you have paid. You can also print your payment receipt by selecting the “Payment Support” link under the “Payment Manager” Menu on your Portal, and then click “Print Receipt” against the transaction ID you have paid.

IMPORTANT NOTES

All students are required to upload their scanned passport photograph (JPEG format, not exceeding 100kb) and signature (JPEG format, not exceeding 100kb) as part of the online registration process.

After completing the profile update as required, click on the ‘Save Profile’ button at the bottom of the page. You will be automatically redirected to the Payment Page.

STAGE 3: Access to Student Portal

(For New Undergraduate Students Only)

Step 1 – Upon successful payment, you should once again click on “Log On To Portal” at https://collegeportal.umyu.edu.ng to obtain your Matric Number.

Step 2 – Take your Matric Number and evidence of payment to the ICT Directorate to collect your University official email address. Please note that you are expected to use this official email address for future access to the Portal to complete your registration.

STAGE 4: Student ID Card Generation

(For New Undergraduate Students Only)

Step 1 – Please ensure that you have previously uploaded your passport and signature as required in stage 2. Details regarding ID card collection will be announced by the Security Unit at a later date.
