It has come to the notice of the Examinations Monitoring Committee (EMC) that some Class Representatives are in the habit of collecting monies from their course mates for the purpose of authentication/official stamp and/or lamination of examination cards.
This practice constitutes an act of extortion that amount to gross misconduct, which is punishable by the relevant university regulations.
Therefore, students and particularly Class Representatives are hereby warned to desist from any unauthorized financial exchanges and/or imposition of levies, as the university authority will not hesitate to take appropriate disciplinary measures against students found guilty of this act of misconduct.
Finally, whereas lamination of examination cards is the student's own responsibility, students are reminded that signing and/or stamping of examination cards is free and does not attract any levy regardless of the circumstances.
