Tope Alabi was born on in Lagos State, Nigeria to parents Joseph Akinyele Obayomi and Agnes Kehinde Obayomi. Out of the three children in the family she is the only daughter . She is happily married and has two daughters, Ayomiku and Deborah. She is an origin of Yewa, Imeko a town in Ogun State, Nigeria.

Tope was an ex member of the Jesters International comedy group. Then she later worked with other prominent groups such as the traveling and stage theater in Lagos and Ibadan respectively. She also had her own films in the Yoruba film genre of Nigeria. After she became a born-again Christian Tope then delved into gospel music.
several Tope secured her West Africa School Certificate (WAEC) from the school of Oba Akinyele Memorial , Ibadan, in the year 1986. Thereafter, she then went to the Poly Ibadan where she studied Mass com and successfully graduated in the year 1990.
Tope Alabi went after her educational attainment with committment and dedication as it rightful deserves. Between the year 1982 and 1984 during her days in secondary school, her interest in music and drama made her to join the “Jesters International” (Jacob, Papilolo & Aderupoko) group at Ibadan, it was from there she got her first training and knowledge in drama as wel.
She also worked with the Nigerian tv Authority (NTA) in Ibadan as a correspondent under the supervision of Mr. Yanju Adegbite, between 1990 & 1991. She also worked with Centre-spread Advertising Limited, Ilupeju area of Lagos in the year 1990. In the year 1992, after she had various work experiences, Patricia Temitope Alabi returned to the theatre Art profession as she joined the distinguished “Alade Aromire Theartre group” in the year 1994. There, she was ready to distinguish herself as a gifted and talented and motivated actress and singer.
At Alade Aromire theatre group, She was then able to know all the core area of drama and acting. She made great contributions in several film productions, stage drama and most notably the soundtrack production with which she is actress in Yoruba movie industry today. Tope Alabi has been invited by numerous writers, producers and directors in the Yoruba film industry to write down and perform soundtracks for their various movies, she had to her credit so far , about 350 soundtracks which she had composed for various Yoruba movies. it might be of note to state here that Tope Alabi is also the pacesetter of soundtracks in the Yoruba Home Video Industry ref>”Biography”. On 21 May 2019, Nigerians on Twitter crowned Tope Alabi the queen of Yoruba language. This was as a results of a contest by United Bank of Africa in their 70th anniversary celebration.
