Upon obtaining his secondary school certificate, he moved back to Port Harcourt for his tertiary education where he studied Business Administration and he subsequently permanently moved back to Lagos to kick start his musical career.
Timaya was introduced to Eedris Abdulkareem’s hiphop group as a backup vocalist. Timaya played behind tbe scene roles for Eedris for 3 solid years until he called it quit after a minor rift with him and focused on building his dream.
