Poly Student Gets Shot In The Face In Delta

Esther Oteri, a 19-year-old National Diploma, ND, student of Otefe Polytechnic, Oghara, Delta State, is in critical condition after being shot in the face by armed robbers during an operation, she is currently battling for her life at the Delta State University Teaching Hospital, DELSUTH.

The incident reportedly happened at about 7pm on February 18, just a night to her matriculation day.

Oteri had allegedly gone out to retrieve her matriculation gown from a dry-cleaner. On getting there, she saw a gunman right in the dry-cleaner’s office.

The young girl being terrified screamed ‘Jesus’ and the robber who was on operation at the wash man’s office, shot her for daring to raise the alarm.

He fled the scene after dispossessing her of her phone when she fell to the ground.

The 100 level student was, however, rushed to DELSUTH by passersby.

A staff of the plastic surgery team, DELSUTH, has reportedly said that the Maxilofacial and Ophthalmology team were battling to revive her as she lost her left eye due to fracture.
