In accordance with the provisions of Paul University's (Miscellaneous Provisions) Decree 1993, No. 11 as amended, the Governing Council directs that applications be invited from suitably qualified candidates with cognate experience in University administration for the positions of the following Principal Officers of the University - Registrar, Librarian and Bursar.
Candidates must:
a) Have a good grasp of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills.
b) Should not be above 65 years of age by the end of Year 2023, except for candidates invited to apply either by the Board of Trustees or the Council.
A. REGISTRAR (Ref: PUA/REGR/2023)
The Job and the Candidate
i) The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer of the University and is responsible to the Vice- Chancellor for the day-to-day administrative work of the University
II) He/She is Secretary to the Governing Council, Senate, Congregation, Convocation and their Committees. The Registrar is also the Custodian of all Legal Documents of the University.
III) The Candidate must possess a good Honours Degree and be a distinguished University Administrator of a rank not lower than the level of Deputy Registrar
B. LIBRARIAN (Ref: PUA/LIBR/2023)
The Job and the Candidate
i) The University Librarian is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the day-to-day administration of the University library and the coordination of all library services in the University and its Campuses, Facilities and Departments as well as Institutes.
II) The candidate must hold a Doctorate degree in Library Science or Library and Information Science from a recognized university and have a minimum of ten (10) years post-qualification experience in University or related establishments
III) Chartered Membership of the Nigerian Library Association will be an advantage.
C. BURSAR (Ref: PUA/BURS/2023)
The Job and the Candidate
I). The Bursar is the Chief Financial Officer of the University, responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for day-to-day financial Administration.
II. The candidate must:
a) Possess a degree in Accounting, with at least ten (10) years experience in a tertiary institution
b) Be a current member of a recognized Professional Accounting body such as ICAN or ANAN.
c) Be of the rank of a Chief Accountant or Deputy Bursar in a tertiary institution.

3.0 Tenure and Conditions of Service
The appointment shall be for a term of five (5) years. The conditions of service are the same as contained in the extant laws of Paul University. In addition, the successful candidate shall enjoy any other benefits attached to the position of a Principal Officer of the University as may be approved by the Governing Council.
