Parents of abducted Katsina students stage protest, demand quick rescue of their children

Consequent to the abduction of hundreds of school children from government science secondary school Kankara local government of Katsina state, parents of the abducted students staged a protest on Sunday, December 13 demanding for the prompt rescue of their children.

Some of the parents carried placards with the inscription ‘Government must speak out’, ‘We want our children back’ and ‘We want security in Kankara’.

Unconfirmed reports claim that over 600 students are yet to be accounted for after armed bandits stormed the school in the early hours of Saturday, December 12, and abducted the children.
