Parents condemn schools who extort students by selling textbooks

Some riled parents have expressed displeasure about schools that now use books as a source of income.

The conversation started with a parent who complained bitterly about how she is made to buy textbooks every session for her children despite the fact that they already have the same book(s) at home.

She pointed out that in the past younger siblings could use the textbooks their elder siblings used, but schools now force parents to buy new textbooks for their younger kids even when they have the same books at home used by the elder kids.

Others also disclosed that many schools now have customized notebooks which they force parents to buy at a higher rate than the rate of regular exercise books sold in the market.
