Over 100 students of UNIAZBUJA to begin internship soon

The Internship and Linkages Service Unit of the University of Abuja has approved the applications of over 100 students of the University for internships at various organizations in the country. 

The students cut across departments/ faculties, including Agriculture, Philosophy, Biological Sciences, Microbiology, Mechanical Engineering, Public Administration, Veterinary Medicine and Science. 

A memo released by the Director of Internship and Linkages Services Unit, Professor Lawrence Ogbo Ugwuanyi, to the University community yesterday, requested the students to come for documentation. 

The Internship and Linkages Services Unit was set up by the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Abdul-Rasheed Na'Allah, on 9th September 2019 to facilitate academic partnership with industries and organizations, as well as a source for opportunities outside the University for students willing to undergo internship. 

Over 150 students had applied to be placed on an internship, according to Professor Ugwuanyi. 

He said the arrangements had been concluded for the students to undergo internship in organizations, agencies, companies and professional associations in the country.
