The Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU), Prof. John Obanfunwa, has said that the non-issuance of certificates to some former part-time students of the institution is as a result of the mis-management of students’ database.
According to him, prior to his assumption of office the institution had no database of students in the School of Part-Time studies.

He said that the ICT unit of the institution which was introduced under his administration is currently filling in the profiles of students into the system for proper documentation and advised the students to submit their bio-data and passport photographs to the ICT unit to enable them print their certificates for endorsement when needed.
