National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation status to all the 20 courses offered at the Kaduna State University (KASU).
The Kaduna State University (KASU) has got full accreditation for 20 of its programmes from the National Universities Commission (NUC).
The Public Relations Officer of the University, Adamu Nuhu Bargo disclosed this Friday in Kaduna; explaining that 16 courses at the undergraduate level and four courses at the postgraduate level were accredited.
According to him, 19 out of the 20 programmes were fully accredited while the remaining one was given an interim status.
The undergraduate courses with full accreditation include: B.A History, B.Sc Chemistry, B.Sc Industrial Chemistry, B.Sc Architecture, B.Sc Environmental Management, B.Sc Estate Management, B. Agriculture, B.Sc Accounting, B.Sc Business Administration, B.Sc Mass Communication, B.Sc Sociology, B.A Arabic, B.A Islamic Studies, B.Sc Physics and B.Sc Computer Science while the programme with an interim status is B.Sc Quantity Survey.
At the Postgraduate level, M.Sc Accounting, M.Sc Business Administration, Masters in Business Administration(MBA) and Masters in Industrial and Labour Relations(MILR) had full accreditation.
The Vice-Chancellor of KASU, Professor Muhammad Tanko thanked NUC for its support while he promised to tackle all observations raised by the Commission. He also commended both staff and students of the institution for their commitment and dedication to service which he said has contributed to the huge success of the accreditation exercise.
Also, the VC further assured the University community of his commitment towards ensuring that the course with an interim status secures full accreditation.
