The case involving the murder of a 100-level UNIBEN student, Vera Uwaila Omozuwa has taken a new turn as details surrounding the murder have been revealed.
Recall that, Vera Uwaila Omozuwa a 100-level student of the University of Benin (UNIBEN), was raped and murdered inside a parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Edo state on Wednesday 27 May, where she goes to read every day.
The Edo state police command has arrested and paraded six suspects involved with the rape and murder of the deceased student. The suspects were arrested after the police traced the phone of the deceased to one of the suspects, Nosa Osabohien.
On interrogation, Nosa claimed to be a phone repairer and had bought late Vera's phone from the prime suspect, Collins Uyegbulen. Nosa led the police to arrest Collins who confessed to having directly participated in the murder. Collins revealed to the police that he was paid N1 million by one Mary Ade, to kill the victim and then use a handkerchief she gave them to clean the blood from the private part of the deceased.
