Before applying for JAMB form you must meet the following requirements and eligibility criteria as listed below;

Correct O’Level Requirement

Upon release of JAMB registration forms, many applicants just jump at it without confirming if their preferred choice of institution accepts AR (Awaiting Results). Let it be clear to you now, you must have the complete O’level result of 5 credit passes which ideally must include mathematics and English language plus any other 3 relevant subjects as it relates to your course of study. JAMB Age Requirement

Yes there is an age limit for admission into the tertiary institutions. Ideally you are supposed to be up to 18 years and above to before you can be admitted into any higher institution in Nigeria but times have changed. If you are 16 years and above, you can gain admission into JAMB. However some departments would require you are up to 18 years of age at least.

Courses Offered In JAMB

You must confirm the courses offered in your choice of institution before applying for JAMB form. This is supposed to be done when you are registering for JAMB and not after your UTME registration. However if you have already made this mistake you will have to purchase a change of course and institution form and follow the procedure required to change your course and institution and you are good to participate in examination.

I have broken down the step by step procedures required to successfully register for JAMB admission form below. How to Apply for JAMB Registration Form 2024/2025 Session

To register for JAMB, please note that the following fees will be paid which comprises of JAMB form, CBT test fee and the text book also known as brochure.

The DE fee for the 2024/2025 session is tagged at N3,500. Other payments include N700 for the CBT Centre registration service charge, N1,500 for the CBT Centre service charge for mock/UTME and N500 for bank charges/commission.

This amounts to N6,200 for candidates who are not sitting for the MOCK examination and N7,700 will be paid by those who would sit for the MOCK examination.

Now to start your online application, please go to following the steps outlined below

You are to make available, your ePIN at any JAMB accredited CBT Centre for completion of registration. Ensure you use your name in the same manner it appears in all your documents when apply for your UTME registration form. Your name of the candidate as typed by you on your phone when registering the profile comes up automatically upon entering your e-PIN during registration in the CBT centre closest to you.

You are to take note of the following steps to successfully apply for the 2024/2025 UTME and DE registration form.

Step 1 – Pay only seven hundred naira N700 as Service Charge in your CBT centre during registration.

Step 2 – Provide your correct data which included your Date of Birth, Nationality, State of Origin, Local Government, Gender, e-mail address, among others during registration.

Step 3 – Ensure you make available, your preferred choice of institutions and programmes (courses)

Step 4 – Ensure you indicate AR (Awaiting Result) if you do not have your complete O’level result. If otherwise, input your correct subjects and grades.

Step 5 – You are to provide your O’Level and or Advanced Level grades.

Step 6 – If you are a candidates with awaiting results, you are still eligible to apply on the grounds that you will make available, your SSCE results online and upload to JAMB portal once they are ready.

Step 7 – For DE Candidates Only – Enter your JAMB registration number for previous institutional certificates during registration.

Step 8 – Provide UTME subjects and choice of examination town(s) for

    • Mock examination (optional)
    • Examination for UTME (actual examination)

Step 9 – Do picture capture (no scanning of passport photograph)

Step 10 – Do Biometric enrolment (ten fingers)

Step 11 – Before submission of your form, you are to ensure you read through, your entries and confirm its accuracy.

Step 12 – Print your Registration Slip USING BIOMETRIC AUTHENTICATION after submission

Step 14 – You are to collect your e-slip at the end of registration as evidence of your UTME registration.

GENERAL INFORMATION

  1. All candidates must mandatorily register their profiles through text messages as illustrated above before proceeding to buy the ePIN.
  2. JAMB registration form fee is non-refundable.
  3. JAMB approved CBT centres near you have been mandated to choose from any of the participating banks, MMOs, MFBs, during registration of candidates. The selected financial institutions are to be present at the CBT centres for the purpose of collection as because all non-CBT centre staff will be allowed to conduct direct cash transaction with the candidates.
  4. You are advised to read and understand the guidelines on admission and instructions on how to complete JAMB registration form online prior to the actual registration to avoid making mistakes that could jeopardize your chances of successfully completing your form online.
  5. If you register more than once for any reason whatsoever, your application will be automatically disqualified.
  6. You must physically be available to snap live photographs that will be embossed on your result slips and admission letters as scanned/stapled passport photograph will not be accepted.
  7. Please note that irrespective of their choice of course of study, they will also be tested on a general text: “Sweet Sixteen” by Bolaji Abdullahi for UTME and “The Last Days at Forcados High School” by H. Mohammed for Direct Entry Candidates.
  8. Electronic gadgets of any sort will not be allowed into the examination hall.

How to Apply for The 2024/2025 JAMB Form From Outside Nigeria (Foreign Residents)

Step 1 – To apply for JAMB as either a Nigerian living outside the shores of the country or foreigner, the requires that you pay the JAMB Registration fee of $30 or its equivalent.

Step 2 – You are to download the Application from the Board’s website (www.jamb.gov.ng) complete and submit it with the fee at the eight designated centres as indicated on the website.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Be informed that all UTME and Direct Entry candidates are required to visit JAMB accredited CBT centres to upload your O’level/A’level results on their JAMB profile.

JAMB REGISTRATION FORM CLOSING DATE

JAMB UTME & DE registration form has been scheduled to commence on Monday 15th January 2024 for UTME candidates and close on 26th February 2024. While sale of DE form closes on March 28, 2024.

UTME & DE EXAMINATION DATE

  • The board has announced that the optional mock examination has been scheduled to commence on Thursday 7th March, 2024.
  • The 2024/2025 UTME & DE shall commence on the 19th of April to, the 29th of April, 2024.
