The JAMB results of 59,698 candidates that participated in the 2017 JAMB examination have been cancelled.
This was disclosed by the registrar of JAMB, Prof Ishaq Oloyede after the management meeting held in Abuja on Wednesday.
According to him, 1,386 of the candidates whose results were cancelled were found to have directly involved themselves in various forms of examination malpractice.
57,646 of the candidates that their results have been cancelled were involved in widespread malpractices induced by the CBT centres where such candidates wrote their examination. These set of candidates are among the 62,140 candidates that will take the the 2017 JAMB Supplementary examination.
while 666 candidates whose results have been cancelled were found to have involved in multiple examinations.
This simply means that JAMB has released all the 2017 JAMB results. If your result is not yet released by now, it simply means that it is among those that have been cancelled.
The board also suspended about 24 centres due to technical issues that were experienced in the centres during the examination. Oloyede said that these centres may be considered again ion 2019.
Meanwhile, about 48 other CBT centres have been delisted by JAMB due to technical deficiencies, extortion, organised examination malpractices, and other damaging infractions.
