The news reaching us now states that the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board – JAMB has rescheduled the national UTME examination previously slated for 16th of April 2020. The new UTME date for all candidates has been slated for 11th of April, 2020.
The board has also rescheduled the Mock Examination, the exam will now be held on April 1st 2020. All candidates are to take note of these changes.
In addition to the above, all candidates are to start the printing of their official exam slips from 2nd April 2020 which would contain details such as their examination venues, that is, their CBT centers, approved timing for their CBT Examination.
All candidates interested in the MOCK examination are not required to print out the above as the mock has no effect on the final result of the candidate’s UTME. Many have assumed that the JAMB Mock examination would be added to the scores or would be used to grade the candidates rather than the actual UTME, the board’s spokeman has debunked such claims and has directed all candidates to get prepared for the major UTME as this would be used as the final score for grading candidates.
Fabian Benjamin, JAMB’s spokesman added that the changes made should not deter candidates rather be used as an opportunity to read further and get better prepared and that candidates who registered for the 2020 UTME must make sure that they print their examination notification slips before the day of the examination as no excuses would be entertained. The public should note that the Board would not reschedule examination for any candidate,” he concluded.
