The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has denied the claims that it has extended the 2017 JAMB registration deadline .
This was disclosed by JAMB’s head of Media, Dr. Fabian Benjamin in a statement made available on Friday to news men in Abuja.
He therefore called parents and candidates to disregard the rumour as it is not true.
According to him, “The Board has closed registration and there is no plan to extend the date.
He however stated that the portal is still open for candidates who were able to get the ePINs before the deadline on May 5th, 2017 but were not able to register.
He stated that these category of candidates will be allowed to register before May 28th, 2017 and a date will be fixed for them to write the examination.
Recall that there was a report earlier stating that JAMB has extended registration deadline. That report was a misconception and should be disregarded.
