Independent Corrupt Practices and Related Offences Commission, ICPC, yesterday, said it will investigate alleged collaboration of teachers and examiners in monetisation of examination marks for students.
Secretary to the commission, Mr. E. Oglafa, at the 2012 Children's Forum, organised by the Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB, in Abuja, said: "The mandate of ICPC is to eradicate all vestiges of corruption in Nigeria and to restore the country to a level where it will take its pride of place among the comity of nations."
Emphasising the determination of the commission to synergise efforts with CCB towards eradicating graft and corruption in private and public sectors of the economy, he warned that "deviants and those who find it difficult to imbibe the tenets of integrity will have to contend with the laws of the land, as many of such will end up in jail.
"The saying that children are leaders of tomorrow may be a mirage for some children if they fail to imbibe the appropriate integrity codes."
