Ignatius Ajuru University of Education has emerged the pioneer winner of the University Performing Arts Competition ( UNIC) 2017 finale.
The Executive Director/Convener of the International Festival of Contemporary Dance (IFCOD), Port-Harcourt Rivers State, Mrs Elo Inyeinengi-Etomi in a congratulatory letter to the Vice-Chancellor Professor Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele thanked the university for being actively involved in the University Performing Arts Competition and for emerging winner of the first position prize of an IFCOD brainded bus.
She said that the competition was designed to climax with other IFCOD programmes slated for Lagos in October 2017 but that due to late airing it was not possible.
Winning schools however according to her would have the honour of hosting their own prize presentation with a higher standard version of the winning play performance at an agreed date.
