Grimard Catholic College of Nursing Sciences, Anyigba, Kogi State was established as a School of Midwifery in 1996 following the permission of Kogi State Government and an approval by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (N&MCN).
In 2022, an approval was again granted to the College by N&MCN for Basic Nursing Programme after the College had fully met the accreditation requirements for Nursing Department.
The College therefore tends to commence academic activities in Basic Nursing Programme in 2022/2023 session. Applications are hereby invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill vacancies in the following units of the College for teaching and non-teaching staff.
1. Teaching Staff- There exist vacancies for academic staff in the following areas:
a. Nurse Educators: Candidates should possess a Bachelor Degree in Nursing Sciences (B.N.Sc.), Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) and should be registered by Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. Years of cognate experience and additional qualifications (i.e, M.N.Sc./Ph.D) will be added advantage.
b. Nurse Lecturers: Candidates should possess B.N.Sc.; and should be registered with Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria. Additional qualifications and cognate experience will be added advantage.
c. Nurse Instructors: Candidates should possess RN with other Post Basic Nursing qualifications. Cognate experiences will be added advantage.
2. Non-Teaching Staff- There exist vacancies for non-teaching staff in the following areas:
a. Medical Laboratory Technologists: Candidates should possess relevant qualifications. Years of post-qualification experience will be added advantage.
b. Confidential Secretary: Candidates should possess National Diploma (ND) in Secretarial Studies from a recognised institution. Demonstrable ability for 100/50 words per minute speed and cognate experience will be added advantage.
c. Labourers: Candidates should be physically, mentally and emotionally fit for the job. Ability to read and write will be added advantage.
d. Cleaners: Candidates should be females who are physically, emotionally and morally fit for the job. Ability to read and write will be added advantage.

Candidates’ submissions should be forwarded in envelope which should have the position applied for clearly indicated on the left-hand corner.
Non-teaching staff candidates should request their Pastors/Imams or their community leaders to write a letter of attestation on their character/fitness for the job applied under confidential cover, direct to the Registrar of the College.
The Pastor/Imam or community leader should be informed to indicate the name of their candidates and position applied for on the left-hand corner of the envelope in which the attestation letters are forwarded.
