Gov. Obiano Gives N1m Each To Students That Won Gold Medal At World Technovation Pitch

Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano reportedly rewarded six students of the Regina Pacis Secondary School who won Gold Medal at the just concluded World Technovation Pitch with a sum of N1m each and scholarships up to their first University Degrees.

The competition was held at the Silicon Valley, San Francisco, USA. The students who benefited from the reward are Adaeze Onuigbo, Vivan Okoye, Promise Nnalue, Nwabuaku Ossai, Jessica Osita, and Miracle Igboke.

The Gov. went further to present a sum of N2m each to the Principal of the school and Leader of the team.

Technovation is a programme that offers girls around the world the opportunity to learn the programming skills they need to emerge as tech-entrepreneurs and leaders.

Every year, girls are invited to identify a problem in their communities, then they are been challenged to solve the problem by developing Andriod applications that would address those problems.
