This is to notify the general public especially candidates who have sat or will sit for the 2024/2025 UTME (Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination) that FCE Zaria cut off mark for 2024/2025 admission year has been fixed.
Also, the management of the institution have rolled out the admission entry requirements which prospective candidates must meet in order to be eligible for admission into FCE Zaria for the various certificate programs.
FCE Zaria Entry Admission Requirements
- Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE)
i). GCE O/L or SSCE (WAEC OR NECO) with passes in at least five (5) subjects in one sitting, three of which must be at credit level;
ii). GCE O/L or SSCE (WAEC OR NECO) with passes in at least five (5) subjects in two sittings, four of which must be at credit level;
iii). Grade II Teachers Certificate (TC II) / Higher Islamic Studies (SISC) with credit or Merit in three (3) subjects, two of which must be relevant to the course the candidate wishes to study;
iv). R.S.A. or City and Guides Intermediate Certificate or the Federal Craft Training Certificate;
v) Associate Certificate in Education awarded by an approved institution in Nigeria or Aboard;
vi) Credits in English and /or Mathematics may be required in some courses;
vii). Successful candidates in the Pre-NCE, (Languages or Sciences), Final Examination, who also take and succeed in a selection examination organized by an accredited body, would also be qualified for admission;
viii). The College may, in addition to all the above, administer its own qualifying elimination tests and / or interviews for some courses, e.g. Physical and Health education.
2. Pre-NCE Programme
i). SC / GCE (OL) or SSCE (WAEC OR NECO)with four (4) passes at a sitting or five (5) passes at two sitting including English Language and Mathematics and passes in related subjects.
ii). TC II Certificate with passes.
iii) Other relevant or equivalent qualification with four (4) passes at a sitting or five (5) passes at two sitting and passes in related subject- i.e. City and Guilds, Federal Craft Certificate, etc.
3 Remedial Programme
i). GCE (O/L) or SSCE (WAEC OR NECO) with two (2) passes
ii) TC II with at least two (2) passes
iii). Federal Craft Certificate or City and Guilds with at least two (2) passes.
4 Professional Diploma in Education Programme
Interested applicants must have one of the followings:
i). National Diploma (ND) or Higher National Diploma (HND)
ii). Bachelor (B.SC & BA)
iii). Master or Doctorate (Phd).
FCE Zaira JAMB Cut Off Mark 2024/2025 Academic Session
This is the approved JAMB cut off mark for candidates that selected FCE Zaria and sat for 2024/2025 UTME. Any student that scores up to the minimum required cut off mark as seen below automatically becomes eligible to sit for the forthcoming post UTME/internal screening exercise.
Kindly note that your current JAMB score is only applicable for 2024/2025 admission year after which the JAMB score becomes null and void and of no effect.
May we remind you once more that only candidates who scored up to the minimum cut off mark and those who score above all have equal eligibility status to sit for FCE Zaria post UTME aptitude test and only successful candidates would be called upon.
Also, note that scoring above the JAMB and post UTME cut off mark does not imply automatic admission into Federal College of Education Zaria, Kaduna as this depends on the admission slot allotted for each department.
Every department has a quota, so usually, admission is based on merit which means that despite passing your post UTME you still have the best to compete with in order to gain admission.
The summary of the above is, the higher your JAMB and post UTME scores, the better your chances of gaining admission into FCE Zaria (Federal College of Education, Zaria).
After the above, candidates are to wait for admission list to be released and if successful, candidates would be required to pay an non-refundable acceptance fee.

Documents required for Internal screening at FCE Zaria includes the following;
A) Original copy of JAMB admission letter, duly printed.
B) Candidates applying for admission into FCE Zaria must have a minimum of 5 credits in Mathematics and English and other relevant subjects as it relates to his or her course of study in not more than two (2) sittings to be eligible to sit for their post UTME screening aptitude test.
C) Original and photocopies of candidate’s JAMB result slip
D) Original documents which includes ‘O’ level certificates please note that awaiting results are not accepted by FCE Zaria except via special consideration which would only be at the discretion of the management of the college of education.
E) FCE Zaria would also require original copy of your birth certificate or birth declaration whichever is available.
F) Candidates are also to carry along with them recent passport photographs (Coloured)

FCE Zaria JAMB Cut Off Mark For All Courses 2024/2025 Academic Session
The minimum required cut off mark for FCE Zaria all courses 2024/2025 academic session is 100 as approved by JAMB.
This implies that candidates who score up to 100 in the UTME score and above are automatically eligible for their post UTME/internal screening exercise.
