Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the
Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro for Full-Time Programmes leading to the award of Higher National Diploma and National Diploma in the 2014/2015 academic session
ND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
(i) Candidates seeking for admission into any of the under listed programs must have sat
for the UTME for the 2014/2015 session.
(ii) Candidates must have scored above the approved minimum National Cut –off Mark.
HND ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Applicants seeking HND Admission must possess:
(i) A good National Diploma
not below Lower Credit
and basic requirements for
the National Diploma Programme.
(ii) A minimum of One Calendar year Post National Diploma relevant Industrial
Experience.
(iii) Academic Transcripts which should be sent by the student’s last Institution under
confidential cover to the Registrar, the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro.

THE ACADEMIC TRANSCRIPT

(iv) A good performance at the screening exercise to be conducted by the
Polytechnic.
METHOD OF APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION
Candidates seeking admission into the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro are required to complete the Institution’s Application Form available online at:
www.federalpolyilaro.edu.ng with effect from Tuesday 19th August, 2014 to Sunday 9th November, 2014.
Procedure for Obtaining Online Application Form
Candidates seeking admission for the HND (Full Time) orthe ND (Part Time) are expected to obtain a confirmation order from any branch of the under listed banks upon the payment of the sum of ten thousand and five hundred naira (N10,500.00) only.
Please note that the confirmation order must be obtained in the name of the applicant.

Instructions to Candidates
(a) Log on to www.federalpolyilaro.edu.ng
(b) Click on “College Portal” on the Main Menu
(c) Scroll down to “New applications”
(d) Click on “Start a new application”
(e) Select programme of choice (i.e. HND Full-Time or ND Part-Time
(f) Enter the PIN (confirmation order obtained from the bank) and click on “Submit”
(g) Take note of the “APPLICATION FORM NUMBER” assigned by the Portal as you will require it subsequently to resume any unfinished application.
(h) Complete the form as applicable.
(i) Scan and paste a colour passport-size photograph in the space provided on the online form.
(j) Confirm and submit. Print a copy of the completed Application Form and Acknowledgement card.
SCREENING EXERCISE
Candidates seeking admission into the ND (Part-Time) and the HND (Full-Time) Programmes will appear for screening exercise after the close of the sales of admission forms. The dates for the screening exercise will be on Thursday 13th November, 2014 for
the National Diploma candidates and Friday 14th November, 2014 for the Higher National Diploma Candidates at 10.00am prompt.
Venue of the screening exercise is the Polytechnic West Campus.
General Information
A candidate awaiting results of an examination is expected to give Centre No.
Year of Exam and subjects taken when filling the online Application Form.
When results are received, two copies must be sent immediately to the Registrar,the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro.
