EKSU 22nd Convocation Ceremony Schedule And Notice To Graduands

The 22nd Convocation ceremony of Ekiti State University is scheduled to hold between Monday March 27th 2017 to Saturday April 1st in the University campus.

The week long ceremony will feature series event starting with the Vice-Chancellor of press conference on Monday 27th March,10am followed by the convocation play on Tuesday, 28th March in the university auditorium convocation lecture titled “Breaking the jinx-The cyclical Nature of Nigerian problems will be delivered by a legal icon and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Chief WoleOlanipekun is fixed for Thursday , 30th march, 2017. On Friday, 31st March 2017, it will be the award of first degree and award of prizes for graduating student the climax is on Saturday, 1st of April 2017, as three distinguished Nigerians will be conferred with the award of doctorates degree, Honoris Causa for their immeasurable contribution to academic, philanthropy and humanitarian gesture as well as the growth of Nigeria and the international community.

The three eminent Nigerians are: the Emir of Kano, His Excellency, Alhaji Sanusi LamidoSanusi III, who is the former governor of the central bank of Nigeria, the Gombe State Governor, Alhaji Hassan Dankwabo and a business mogul, Adebutu Oladipupo.

GENERAL INFORMATION
(I) The Convocation ceremonies will involve the students who graduated from the University in the 2015/2016 academic session in all programmes.

(ii) Academic robes and invitation cards will be available for collection from Faculty Officers/Secretaries of Faculties/Schools/ [Programmes from Monday, 27th March, 2017 upon payment of the prescribed charges as follows (excluding commission):
First Degree/Diplomas - N 7,500.00
Master’s/PostGraduate Diplomas - N12,500.00
Ph.D. Degree - N25 000.00

METHOD OF PAYMENT
(a) Kindly pay the stipulated amount into EKSU IGR Account No. 1008844821 in Any Branch of UBA Plc stating clearly your Name, Matriculation Number, Faculty, Department and year of graduation at the top of the Teller.
(b) The printed receipt for payment for robes should be kept intact as it will be required for collection of certificates or transcripts in future.
(iii) The deadline for the submission of academic robes is Tuesday, 4th April, 2017, after which a late submission charge of Two Thousand, Five Hundred Naira (N2,500.00) per day will be paid.
(iv) Damage or loss of an academic robe will attract a penalty of N50,000.

COLLECTION OF CERTIFICATE
(I) Graduands who have completed their clearance will be eligible to collect their certificates during convocation.

INVITATION CARDS FOR GRADUATING STUDENTS
Each graduating student is entitled to two invitation cards. The invitation cards and a set of academic robe would be available for collection on presentation of receipt. Convocation Brochure will be distributed to accredited graduating students inside the hall.
