The Ekiti State University. (formerly University of Ado-Ekiti) wishes to inform all graduands, parents, guardians and the general public as well as the friends ofthe University that the activities marking its 18th Convocation Ceremony will take place as scheduled below:

TUESDAY, 2ND APRIL 2013
(i) Press Conferenceto be addressed by the Vice-Chancellor
Venue: Senate Chamber Time:10.00 am

THURSDAY 4TH APRIL, 2013
(I) Event: Convocation Lecture by Professor Adebayo Oiukoshi (Director, United Nations institute for Development and Planning Dakar, Senegal)
Topic: Africa: Meeting the Challenges of Leadership for a Changing World
Venue: University main auditorium
Time: 11.00 a.m.
(ii) Event: Turning of the Sod forthe Institute of Governance
Venue: University Campus
Time: 4.00 p.m.
(iii) Event: Vice-Chancellor's Night
Venue: Bishop Adetiloye Hall, Trade Fair Complex, Ado- Ekiti
Time: 5.00 p.m.

FRIDAY, 5TH APRIL‘ 2013
Event: Award of first Degrees and Prizes
Venue: Main Auditorium
Time: 10.00 a.m.

SATURDAY. 6TH APRIL, 2013
Event : Award of Higher Degrees. Postgraduate Diplomas and Award of Prizes
Venue: Main Auditorium Time: 10.00 a.m.

GENERAL INFORMATION
(i) The Convocation ceremonies will involve the students who graduated from the University in 2010/2011 academic session in all prorammes.
(ii) Academic robes and invitation cards will be available for collection from Faculty Officer/secretaries of Facuities/schools/Programmes from Thursday, 28th March. 2013 upon payment of the prescribed charges as follows:

First Degree/diplomas - N5,000.00
Masters/Post Graduate Diplomas - N7.500.00
Ph.D. Degree - N15,000.00

(iii) The above charges are to be paid at any First Bank Plc, nationwide via e-tranzact. A receipt will be issued by the bank.
(iv) The e-tranzact receipt should be kept intact as it will be required for collection of certificates or transcripts in future.
(v) The deadline for the submission of academic robes is Tuesday, 9th April, 2013. after which a late submission charge of One Thousand Naira (N1 ,000.00) per day will be paid.
(Vi) Damage or loss of an academic robe will attract a penalty of N25,000

INVITATION CARDS FOR GRADUATING STUDENTS
Each graduating student is entitled to two invitation cards. The invitation cards and a set of academic robe would be available for collection on presentation of e-tranzact receipt. Convocation Brochure will be distributed to accredited
graduands inside the hall.

The Vice-Chancellor. Professor Patrick Oladipo Aina. congratulates the graduands on behalf of the University Community.
