The Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Biodun Oyebanji who also doubles as the Visitor to the College has approved the appointment of a One-time Chairman, Committee of Deans in the College of Health Sciences and Technology, Ijero-Ekiti, Mr Kayode Abolarin as the College’s Deputy Provost.
According to a statement conveyed through the Secretary, Governing Council and College Registrar, Mrs Caroline Ogunsakin, the approval followed the successful re-election of Abolarin by the academic board for a second and final tenure of two years, through acceptability vote.
Mr Abolarin holds a Masters Degree in Medical Microbiology from the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye.
He joined the services of the College in January 2011 as Senior Lecturer, and rose through the ranks to the status of a Chief lecturer in the School of Medical Laboratory and Imaging Science (Diagnostic Science).
Before his first appointment as the Deputy Provost on 21st January, 2021, Mr Abolarin had served in several capacities and also held key positions in the College, including; Head of Department, Dean, Students’ Affairs and Chairman, Accreditation Committee among others.
His appointment took effect from 22nd January, 2023.
