Egypt Protesters Set Fire To Campus In Cairo

Supporters of the banned Islamist Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt have set fire to two university buildings in Cairo on Saturday, reports said. Students supporting Muslim Brotherhood fought police at the Cairo campus of al-Azhar University.

The movement was formally designated a terrorist organization on Wednesday. This July, renewed protests, in which dozens of people were killed and wounded, led to the Egyptian military deposing President Mohamed Morsi of the Muslim Brotherhood. The Constitution was then suspended and an interim government set up.

On Friday, at least two people died in Egypt in police fight as supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood held demonstrations in Cairo, southern Minya and the Nile Delta.

Friday's protests were a response to the military government's declaration designating the Brotherhood as a terrorist group. Other students from Azhar University threw rocks and police responded with tear gas and rubber bullets.

At least five people were injured after a bomb exploded near a passenger bus in the Egyptian capital of Cairo, the North African nation's health ministry said Thursday.
