Chukwuebuka Obi-Uchendu was born on 14 July 1982, in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. However, he is from Okija, in anambra State of Nigeria. He was born into a large family; he is the third of four children. He has an elder sister and an elder brother, and also a younger brother.
His father is a retired banker, while his mother is a nurse. Ebuka attended both his nursery and primary schools in Benin, and he showed great promise as a child. He went on to sit for his Common Entrance Examination while he was in Primary Four, as against the regular Primary Six.
Having passed his Common Entrance Examination, his father was transferred to the Capital City of Abuja, and so the family relocated to that city. Ebuka therefore attended secondary school in Abuja.
For his secondary education, Ebuka attended Christ The King College Abuja, and he graduated in 1997. He subsequently went to the University of Abuja, where he studied law, graduating in 2004. He then went to the Nigerian Law School Bwari, Abuja finishing in 2005.

Ebuka spent 5 years working within the legal profession. But then he opted to go back to school to study Intellectual Property as well as Communications law so as to give himself an edge in the legal field in Nigeria. For this education he choose the Washington College of Law of the American University Washington D.C. He graduated in December 2010 as a Master of Laws.

When there is no camera in front of him, Ebuka is a rather reserved person. He spends his time indoors and enjoys watching movies and listening to music.
