A New Beginning for DELSU

The approval for the Centre for Open Distance e-Learning follows a thorough evaluation by a panel of experts in Open and Distance Learning (ODL), subject matter experts, and NUC representatives. The panel’s visit to the proposed Centre from 18 to 20 January 2024 validated the university’s readiness to begin academic activities.

Initial Programme Offering

The Centre is set to commence operations with the Bachelor of Nursing Science (BNSC) programme. This programme will be delivered through an ICT-enabled, blended learning model, ensuring a high-quality educational experience.

Commitment to Excellence

DELSU is committed to adhering to the NUC guidelines for running ODL programmes. The university will implement the recommendations made by the panel in the attached Technical Report to maintain high standards.

Future Prospects

The addition of new programmes will be considered on a programme-by-programme basis, subject to pre-assessment and approval by the NUC. The university will undergo periodic monitoring to ensure continued compliance with best practices in ODL.
