DELSU Diploma Admission 2017/2018 Announced

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following Regular Diploma Programmes of the Institute of Education, Delta State University, Abraka.

Duration of Courses: The Diploma course will be for two sessions.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS:

General Requirements:

Applicants must possess at least four credits at not more than two sittings in the GCE O/L or NECO, SSC or WASC, NABTEB or its equivalent. Candidates are also expected to fulfil the specific Departmental Requirements for their various courses of choice.

Diploma in Business Education


A minimum of four credits in the GCE O/L or NECO, SSC or WASC, NABTEB including English Language, Mathematics, Economics and one other subject at not more than two sittings.
Associateship Certificate in Education/Accounting/Business Administration/Marketing/Secretarial Studies awarded by an approved Institution of Higher Learning.


Diploma in Hotel and Catering Management Education


A minimum of four credits in the GCE O/L or NECO SSC or WASC including English Language, Mathematics, Biology and any of Food and Nutrition or Home Management, and Chemistry at not more than two sittings.
TC II with at least Merit passes in four subjects as required in (a) above and credit passes in Mathematics and General Science.


Diploma in Library Science Education


A minimum of four credits in the GCE O/L or NECO SSC or WASC including English Language and Mathematics, at not more than two sittings.
A minimum of four Merits in TC II, including English Language and Mathematics.
Any other equivalent qualification acceptable to Senate as in (a) and (b) above.


Diploma in Nursery and Primary Education


A minimum of four credits in the GCE O/L or NECO SSC or WASC including English Language and Mathematics, at not more than two sittings.
A minimum of four Merits in TC II including English Language and Mathematics.
Any other equivalent qualification acceptable to Senate as in (a) and (b) above.


Diploma in Integrated Science Education`


A minimum of four O’ Level credits in GCE or NECO SSC or WASC including English Language, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry, at not more than two sittings.
A minimum of four Merits in TC II in the relevant Science subjects, English Language and Mathematics as indicated in (a) above.


Diploma in Physical and Health Education


A minimum of four credits in the GCE O/L or NECO SSC or WASC including English Language, Mathematics and Biology or Health Science, at not more than two sittings.
A minimum of four Merits in TC II, including English Language, Mathematics, Physical Education and any other subject.
Holders of Associateship Certificate in Education.


Diploma in Secretarial Studies Education


A minimum of four credits in the GCE O/L or NECO SSC or WASC including English Language, Mathematics, Economics or Commerce and one other subject, at not more than two sittings.
Associateship Certificate in Education/Accounting/Business Administration/Secretarial Studies awarded by an approved Institution of Higher Learning.


Diploma in Mathematics Education

A minimum of four credits in the GCE O/L or NECO SSC or WASC or equivalent which must include Mathematics, Chemistry or Physics and English Language, at not more than two sittings.

Diploma in Biology Education

A minimum of four credits in the GCE O/L or NECO SSC or WASC or equivalent, including Mathematics, Biology and English Language, at not more than two sittings.

Diploma in Chemistry Education


A minimum of four credits in the GCE O/L or NECO SSC or WASC or equivalent, including Mathematics and Chemistry, with a credit in English Language, at not more than two sittings.


Diploma in Physics Education


A minimum of four credits in the GCE O/L or NECO SSC or WASC or equivalent, including English Language, Mathematics and Physics, and any other subject, at not more than two sittings.


Diploma in Health, Safety and Environmental Education


A minimum of four credits in the GCE O/L or NECO SSC or WASC including English Language, Mathematics and one Science subject from Biology/Health Science, Agricultural Science, Chemistry and Physics and one other subject, at not more than two sittings.


Diploma in Computer Science Education


A minimum of four credits in the GCE O/L or NECO SSC or WASC or equivalent including English Language and Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry at not more than two sittings.
A minimum of four Merits in TC II, including English Language and Mathematics and any other two Science subjects.


Diploma in Early Childhood Education


A minimum of four credits in the GCE O/L or NECO SSC or WASC, including English Language and Mathematics at not more than two sittings.
A minimum of four Merits in TC II, including English Language and Mathematics.

Requirements

Candidates are required to visit delsuonline.com to generate an applicant virtual pin N12, 000.00 (twelve thousand Naira) only and make payment to any of the following banks:

Visit the specified bank for payment.

2(a) Candidates should, with the pin for payment, access and complete the Delta State University, Abraka 2017/2018 Diploma form online at hhp/www.delsuonline.com with their recent colour passport-sized photograph scanned to the JPEG format and not more than 20kb in size.

(b) Candidates are advised to use virtual pin immediately after payment, as the pin will be invalid after six (6) hours of generation.

(c) Candidates are advised to read the instructions on the front page of the website before completing the form.

(d) Candidates are required to come to the examination venue with the following:

a copy of the Print-out of completed online confirmation of application;
two recent passport-sized colour photographs with the full names of candidates and signature on the reversed side of the photographs;


four-figure table (where applicable); and


Biro, HB pencil and eraser.
Online application will start on Wednesday, October 4, 2017.
Application website closes by 12.00 midnight on Friday, December 8, 2017.

NOTE:

Candidates are to log in ONLY the courses they choose for the Diploma programme.
GSM phones are not allowed.
Parents, guardians and well-wishers will not be allowed to stay around the venue of the examination.
Any person caught impersonating will be handed over to the Police and the candidates impersonated will automatically be disqualified.
