Caleb University:

The Vice-Chancellor, Caleb University, Imota, Lagos State, Prof. Ayodeji Olukoju, has said that given existing facilities and quality faculty members, the institution's postgraduate school will produce world-class graduates.

Olukoju made this remarks in his address at the maiden public lecture of the university's College of Postgraduate Studies, titled 'Building a Globally Competitive University through Research', which was delivered by Prof. D.I Olaleye of the Department of Virology, College of Medicine, University of Ibadan, Oyo State.

He cited the availability of visiting professors and researchers from abroad, well-equipped digital library, partnership with foreign universities, location in a serene and conducive environment for learning and ICT facilities as a clear evidence of the management's effort to build a first-class university. The university, he said, would produce graduates with entrepreneurial and leadership skills grounded in faith-induced ethical values, and ready to lead the charge for positive change in the world.

Olukoju pointed out that the National Universities Commission's approval for the establishment of the institution's Postgraduate School, starting with the M.Sc degree programme in Architecture, was a major milestone in the history of the CU, which took-off in 2008.

He said, "As at today, our programmes enjoy the NUC's full accreditation status, thereby confirming our core objective of ensuring the production of quality graduates who would contribute positively to national growth."
