Arrival at the University’s Main Gate
Protocol for Entry
- It’s of utmost importance that everyone arriving at the Bells University of Technology on the resumption day makes their entry through the main gate along Idiroko road.
- To maintain campus security, every vehicle entering the premises will be subjected to security checks.
- The clearance for entry into the various halls of residence will be based on the specific college. Here’s the breakdown:
- COLENG and COLMANS: Head to the Marquee for clearance.
- COLNAS, COLFAST, and COLENVS: Clearance will be granted at the Edozien lecture theatre (ELT).
General Instructions for 100-Level Students
Resumption and Arrival
- The official resumption dates for the 100-level students are slated for 29th and 30th October 2023.
- Arrival time is set between 8:00 am and 7:00 pm. Punctuality is strongly encouraged.
Financial Obligations and Verification
- Prior to resumption, students should ensure that a minimum of 25% of the tuition fees has been paid.
- Confirmation of payments will be facilitated by the Bursary Unit, stationed at both the Marquee and the Edozien lecture theatre (ELT).
- It’s imperative that students produce a hardcopy evidence of their payment at the aforementioned Bursary clearance points for verification.
Dress Code and Appearance
- The university upholds a standard of decency. As such, indecent dressing will not be tolerated.
- Female students are advised to maintain a mid-back hair length. Any form of hair colouring or tinting outside of one’s natural hair colour is not permissible.
- Male students, on the other hand, are to ensure their hair is neatly trimmed and kept low. Additionally, beards should be cleanly shaven.
Staff Assistance
- To facilitate the smooth resumption process, university staff will be on ground and ready to assist students from 8:00 am on both the 29th and 30th October 2023.
At the Halls of Residence
The hall admission process will be coordinated by wardens and other hall officials. Here’s the procedure:
- Ensure you have evidence of school fees payment, mattresses, and pillows.
- Proceed with the registration/documentation.
- Obtain your hall identification cards.
- Secure the keys to your room.
- An inspection of rooms will be conducted by the porter alongside the student occupants.
- Lastly, present your clearance at the reception in the halls of residence prior to entry.
