For some months now the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) has been on strike with masses having little or no idea of the latest development.
With the students of the respective polytechnics, all blaming the FG for not meeting the demands of the union (ASUP), I think it is a mare professional negligence on the part of the media for not being fully involved like they were during ASUU strike.
This is greatly unfair. I hope the media would take it up from today. The way the media followed the ASUU strike contributed in no small measure to government acceding to their demands. I hope the media would also come to the aid of the polytechnic lecturers as well.
The government should also accede to the request of the polytechnic lecturers. What is good for the goose, is also sauce for the gander.
