Following the approval of the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) granting Adeyemi College of Education Ondo the right to establish a mini campus, the Management of the College, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kings International College, Moniya Ibadan.
The signing of the Memorandum held at the College Council Chamber on 1st March, 2021 had in attendance the Chief Executive Officer of King’s International College, Professor Mrs. J. E. Olawoye, Provost of the College, Dr. Samuel Akintunde, Deputy Provost, Dr. Gbade Ikuejube, the Registrar, Mrs. O. O. Fakorede, College Librarian, Mr. Azino Akpokurerie and the Director, Part Time Programme, Dr. F. O. Afolabi.
Narrating the brief history of events preceding the signing of the MoU, the Director of Part Time Programmes, ACE Ondo, Dr. F. O. Afolabi, stated that the process which involved presentation of assessment report on facilities available at the KIC to the Provost, and further consideration which were done through the Committee of Deans and Directors, Business Committee of Academic Board, ended with the receipt of approval of the request by the Executive Secretary of NCCE, Prof. Bappa-Aliyu Muhammadu.
Climax of the event was the presentation of signed MoU to the CEO of KIC, Prof. Mrs. J. E. Olawoye, by Provost of the College, Dr. Samuel Akintunde. It was followed by presentation of other documents to guide the smooth take off of the programmes; such as NCE restructured curriculum in line with NCCE minimum standards, school fees regime and samples of flyer for the programmes to the KIC.
Other present at the ceremony were Assistant Deputy Registrar (Provost’s Office), Mrs. A. P. Olabode, Acting Director, Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Mrs. O. A. Olatuyi, the College Legal Officer, Mrs. A. O. Adeduro, among other staff of the College.
