The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) will at its 32nd Convocation ceremony that comes up on Friday and Saturday this week graduate a total of 8,038 out of which 67 will be awarded first class honours.
This was disclosed by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor AbdulGaniyu Ambali during a pre-convocation press briefing.
According to him, 1,902 of the graduating students are postgraduates, 6069 are first degree graduates while 66 are diploma graduates.
A further break down reveals that among the first degree graduates, 1,505 obtained second class upper division (2:1) 3,200 obtained Second class lower division (2:2) while 1,124 obtained third class and 70 obtained a pass.
He further stated that the university has grown in the last few year under his administration so much that it has become the 1st choice university for admission seekers.
