20 Students Swim To Death At Dangerous Waterfall

Twenty students have been confirmed dead and 30 others injured at the Kintampo Waterfall, in the Brong Ahafo Region of Ghana after they went to swim at a dangerous waterfall.

The tragic incident was said to have occurred after a tree fell off the top of the waterfall to the ground, thereby killing the students. Also, many of the students were feared trapped in the incident.

According to reports, a terrible storm uprooted the huge tree on top of the waterfall, causing it to fall where revellers were swimming.

The deceased and victims of the incident were believed to be mostly students from the Wenchi Methodist Secondary School who were on an excursion to the famous waterfall at the time of the incident.

The Kintampo Police, which confirmed the incident on Sunday afternoon noting that the injured have been transferred to the Kintampo Municpal Hospital for medical attention.
