Omu Aran, Kwara state - A 15-year-old student of Government Secondary School, Omu Aran, Kwara state, Olukayode Olusola, scored 362 in the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Legit.ng recalls that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) released the 2024 UTME results on Tuesday, April 29.
Olukayode’s outstanding performance is a breath of fresh air at a time when people have lost confidence in public schools across the country.
Kwara public school student scores 362 in UTME
As reported by Vanguard, the teenager scored 95 marks each in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and 77 in English Language.
The outstanding performer planned to study Electrical electronics at the University of Ilorin (UniIlorin) in Kwara state.
The mother of the brilliant boy, Beatrice Tosin, praised Olukayode for his studious and hard-working nature, The Punch reports.
Legit.ng also reported that a 16-year-old Nwokoro Munachimso Nnanna got the attention of Nigerians with his outstanding performance of 345 in the just-released 2024 UTME results.
The award-winning student of the Federal Government Academy, Suleja had an aggregate score of 345.
Munachimso scored 69 in English Language, 95 in Mathematics, 86 in Chemistry and 95 in Physics to make the list of the 0.5% of UTME candidates who scored 300 and above.
Girl scores 269 after brother got 313 in UTME
Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that it was a double celebration for Mr Pascal Ebeniro and his family as one of his daughters, Oluomachi scored 269 in the just-released 2024 UTME result.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Mr Ebeniro’s son, Akachi scored 313 in the tertiary entrance examination and plans to study medicine and surgery at the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) in Rivers state.
17-year-old girl is a student at Federal Government College Okigwe in Imo state.
