100-level student slumps and dies in class a day to matriculation

A 100-level student of the Kwara State College of Education identified as Aminat Tajudeen has been confirmed dead after she slumped and died while receiving lectures in class.

The deceased who was a student of the Music / Yoruba department, slumped around 1:30 pm on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, after she collected her matriculation gown for the ceremony scheduled for Thursday, April 13, and returned to class.

She was said to have been rushed to the school clinic after the incident and was confirmed dead on arrival. Her corpse was later taken to the Muslim cemetery, Osere, for her Janazah and burial according to Islamic rites.

Her grieving father, while speaking at her burial, said Aminat showed no sign or symptom of any sickness and that they had a lengthy discussion on several issues before he escorted her to get a cab to the school on the day of the unfortunate incident.
