This is to inform all fresh and returning students of Zamfara State University, Talata-Mafara (ZAMSUT) that the management of the institution has adjusted the academic calendar for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The ZAMSUT adjusted academic calendar has been designed to run for a period of 1 year approximately. All academic and non-academic activities have been scheduled to take place within the approved timeframe as adjusted by the management of the university.
ZAMSUT ACADEMIC CALENDAR FOR FRESH AND RETURNING STUDENTS 2024
The academic calendar for ZAMSUT goes as follows:
The Start of the First Semester
The first semester is the foundation of your academic year, and it begins with the Registration of New Students, set to take place over four weeks from Monday, 8th January to Saturday, 3rd February 2024.
Returning Students
If you’re a returning student, your registration window is concise, spanning just two weeks from Monday, 22nd February to Saturday, 3rd February 2024.
First Semester Lectures
A 13-week lecture period, commences on Monday, 5th February and runs until Saturday, 4th May 2024.
Mid Semester Break
Monday, 8th to Saturday, 13th April 2024.
Examinations
Monday, 6th May and concluding on Saturday, 25th May 2024.
Semester Break and Marking
Monday, 27th May to Saturday, 8th June 2024
Second Semester Lectures
The second semester lectures span another 13 weeks from Monday, 10th June to Saturday, 7th September 2024.
Mid-Semester Break
Monday, 17th to Saturday, 22nd June 2024
Second Semester Examinations
Monday, 9th to Saturday, 28th September 2024.
Concluding the Academic Year
The academic session concludes with a four-week period dedicated to the second semester break, marking of examinations, and the all-important moderation and submission of results, set from Monday, 30th September to Saturday, 19th October 2024.
