The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted Yusuf Maitama Sule University, Kano approval for the commencement of new undergraduate and postgraduate programmes to be run on the university’s Main Campus with effect from the 2021/2022 academic session.
The approval notice was contained in a letter dated March 15, 2022, addressed to the university’s Vice-Chancellor and signed by the Director of Academic Planning of the NUC, Dr N. B. Saliu, for the Executive Secretary.
The approved programmes are MSc. Accounting, Masters in Accounting and Finance (MAF), Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting and Finance (PGD), B.Sc. Taxation, B.Sc. Industrial Chemistry, B.Sc. Cyber Security, B.Sc. Software Engineering and B.Sc. Industrial Mathematics.
The statement further clarified that the approval does not cover the part-time mode of delivery of the undergraduate programmes, and all programmes will bear the approved titles and nomenclatures. Any change will require the approval of the Commission.
