Yobe State Approves October 12 for the Reopening of Schools

Yobe State Government has announced Monday, 12th October 2020 for the reopening of schools in the state. Commissioner of Basic and Secondary Education, Dr Muhammad Sani Idriss made this known on Wednesday in Damaturu.

Dr. Idriss maintained that the governor gave the approval to ensure basic and secondary schools resume academic activities after he was briefed on the modalities and strategies put in place by the ministry to avert any possible spread of coronavirus.

The Commissioner added that the COVID-19 protocols will be strictly observed by both private and public schools. According to him, the school reopening directives affect basic and secondary schools only.
