Yobe Assures Corps Members Adequate Securities, Logistics:

Yobe State Government on Thursday promised corps members posted to the state adequate security and logistics to enable them to carry out their primary assignments.

The State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Alhaji Tijjani Zakari, gave the assurance at Kangere in Bauchi State during the swearing-in of 2014 Batch ‘A’ corps members.

“You are aware of the security situation that warrants us to camp our NYSC here and last year in Nassarawa.

“I want to assure you that security has come back to Yobe.

“By the next time, I am sure we will do our orientation in Yobe; there is no problem.

“We have overcome the situation.

“The Governor of Yobe State is doing everything humanly possible to make sure that everything is okay.

“My message to corps members posted to Yobe (is that) they are welcome to Yobe. We assure them of their security and safety; Yobe State is a very peaceful state.

“I am sure Yobe and Bauchi State Governments are doing very well (everything possible) to ensure that everybody is secure and everybody is safe.

“We will provide every security and logistics to take care of our corps members posted to the state.’’

Zakari urged the corps members to feel at home, reiterating the state government’s commitment to ensure their safety. (NAN)
