The Academic Board at its meeting of Wednesday, June 23, 2021, conducted an election of 2 nominees(Mr Uduak Ikpong Inyang-Udoh, a Chief Lecturer in the Dept of Quantity Surveying and Dr. Adekunle Adeyemi, a Chief Lecturer in Dept of Fine Art) for the office of the Deputy Rector(Administration) in line with new Polytechnic Act as amended in 2019.
At the end of the election, Inyang-Udoh emerged first with 46 votes as against 32 votes by Adeyemi who came second.
Until his election, Inyang-Udoh was the Director of Yabatech Consult, the business arm of the College. He was a former HOD of Quantity Surveying, Dean of Environmental studies, and Director of Academics Planning.
Inyang-Udoh is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor by training who has at various times served as chairman and member of different Academic Board and Administrative committees in the College.
Mr Uduak Ikpong Inyang-Udoh's vast experience and knowledge will no doubt come to play in his new assignment.
