What to do as you wait for your post-utme exam date.
Firstly, i would want to congratulate all the 2013 JAMB candidates who did well probably by scoring 150 and above as institutions may cut from 150 in this year's utme exam.
In this medium, i want to enlighten you on what to do as we all keep the ''rat ears'' and wait to hearing this year's cut-off mark and the commencement of post-utme exams in various institution across the nation. I have pondered over this post over and over and have decided to share with you guys; Have you asked yourself...what if i score 250-300 and do not get admitted this year? Well, lets know what would be the solution to this ''may occur'' problem.
* Always thank God for making your result a successful one and pray over your forthcoming post-utme result to be far better than the Jamb score. Please, make this your daily Prayer Point. With God all things are possible.
* Endeavour to make SchoolGist your companion as a student to enable gather some necessary and important information about the happenings in various schools. As for me, SchoolGist is my ultimate. Secondly, do not miss to browse on your proposed schools' website everyday.
* Read your books regularly, Read relentlessly. I learnt that many candidates think that their high utme mark will gain them admission, though it happened the previous years, but i think we should embrace our books and be more serious with our studies since the board had earlier announced that 500,000 out of 1.7m candidates will be favoured this year.
* Take any chance: Some schools may open their post-utme application to everyone with a little extra cost. This is favourable to all aspirants who have chosen highly rated schools like UNN, UNILAG, UI and some other federal schools. You really need this information because your dream school might disappoint you. Do not put your eggs in one basket.
* Course Preference: Its absolutely obvious that employment does not go with the certified course. Please, do not reject any course you admitted into unless you have an alternative. Who knows the Will of God.
* Supplementary Admission: Many candidates fail to apply for supplementary admission as they wait either for the 2nd, 3rd or last admission list as some schools choose to release their(s). I advise you to not waste any opportunity this year. Remember, wasted chances may come back to hurt you.
With the practice of the above points, i believe we all will get to our destinations in Jesus Name. Amen.
Thanks as you read and expect more from me.
I am still your Guy,
